THESIS:
Examining the overall effectiveness of the use of video games in getting young adults involved in global political and social issues. Providing brief minor supports for each. Segway statement into Body One.
BODY ONE:
Brief description of the actually game "Darfur is Dying". Analysis of the effectiveness of different aspects in the game. Pros and Cons to game's overall design. Segway statement into Body Two.
BODY TWO:
Brief description of the actually game "The Activism Game". Analysis of the effectiveness of different aspects in the game. Pros and Cons to game's overall design. Segway statement into Conclusion.
CONCLUSION:
Basic wrap up of the two games outlining basic effectiveness of each in their struggle to get people (in this case young adults) involved in the cause. Brief summary of the differences and how they made them more or less effective. Closing statement.

Your thesis wasn't really a statement as a thesis but rather like a general review no direct thesis is present. I also found that your overall outline was a little bland. Nothing was very specific and not to be rude or cruel but not specific enough to actually help you on your paper which was the objective of writing the outline.
I agree with you. I'm not one for the pre-planning pre-writing, I've never used them. In my opnion the process isn't for everyone.
Indeed, I find that just sitting down and writing from scratch is easier, so to speak. However, it seems as though your "thesis" is actually a short description of what your paper will be like. Instead, try to state the topic, such as video games are/are not effect with involving youth in politics and social stuff.
You should probably include in your thesis which game is more effective at involving the youth and why. If your thesis is too short, the age old question will arise: "Can i write 1500 words about that?"
